How to Redeem The CAT Codes

Read this before you hunt a button

The CAT does not currently let you redeem codes. The 28 April 2026 release, the June concurrent peak, and the 8 September 2026 store tag all shipped without a Codes control in the lobby. This page exists so that, if Ikigai Cybercore Studios adds one, you already know the usual Roblox pattern: lobby button, paste the exact string, press Redeem. It is not a promise that a button is hiding in a menu. If you cannot find Codes, Twitter, or Gift in the HUD, you are not missing a secret — the codes hub is empty because the client is empty.

Do not install a browser extension, a fake Roblox login, or a redeem-for-Robux website to skip this. Those pages steal cookies. The only place a legitimate code would ever go is inside The Cat Shelter itself (place 76526090659517), after you have spawned into a 26-player server as a cat or a caretaker.

Hypothetical lobby path

Use these steps only after you can actually see a Codes control. Until then they are a template, not a walkthrough of a live UI.

1. Launch Roblox and join The Cat Shelter by Ikigai Cybercore Studios. Confirm the place ID 76526090659517 in the URL so you are not in The Cat [Alpha], Catch the Cat, or a smaller Cat Shelter clone.
2. Wait until the role select (Cat vs Caretaker / vet / guard) and the HUD finish loading. A redeem button, if one is added, almost always sits in the lobby rather than mid-chase in the sewers.
3. Look for a button labeled Codes, Redeem, Twitter, or Gifts. On phone that control is often a gift-box icon on the left or right edge; on PC it is usually a text button near shop or settings.
4. Tap or click it so a text field appears. Click the field once so the mobile keyboard or PC caret is actually inside the box.
5. Paste the exact string from the codes hub. Do not add spaces before or after. Do not change letter case. Do not swap zero and the letter O.
6. Press Redeem (or Claim / Submit, depending on the label the studio picks).
7. Read the toast. Success should name a reward. Invalid, expired, or already used should fail closed. If nothing happens, you are still in a game with no redeem UI.

That is the entire path. There is no second machine in the feral city, no toilet that accepts strings, and no jail clipboard that grants Rainbow Leash.

Case, spaces, and device quirks

Roblox codes are almost always case-sensitive. ShelterUpdate and shelterupdate would be different strings. If we ever list a live code, type it as shown in the table, including capitals, numbers, and underscores. Autocorrect on iOS and Android is the most common way a real code fails: it inserts a space, capitalizes the first letter, or turns a 1 into a pipe. Paste from the wiki instead of retyping, then glance at the field before you tap Redeem.

PC players using Shift to sprint (player-reported) sometimes hit the field with a modifier still down and insert a stray character. Click the box, release Shift, then paste. Console players should expect a virtual keyboard; if the studio never ships a Codes button, that keyboard will never appear for this purpose.

If the button exists and the string still fails, check the expired archive before you assume the wiki is wrong. Studios retire codes without a blog post. An expired row is more likely than a hidden second redeem NPC.

What a success message would mean

A legitimate redeem would grant something the client already knows how to spawn: a cosmetic, a temporary boost, or a small in-experience item. It would not grant Director (549 R$), El Gato (549 R$), Premium (399 R$), Private Jail Cell (399 R$), Elite Cat Surgeon (299 R$), Boss Mafia Cat (299 R$), Elite SWAT (249 R$), CAT HAT Bundle (259 R$), HMG (149 R$), AWM Sniper (149 R$), Bypass Team Limit (79 R$), or Rainbow Leash (25 R$). Those are Roblox gamepasses. Perks for Premium and El Gato are unpublished even on the store, which is another reason a YouTube code that claims full Director loadouts is fiction.

If a toast says you received all weapons, silent aim, or instant escape, you are not in the official redeem flow — you are looking at a script GUI advertisement. Close it. Account bans are not a code reward.

Where you will not find a redeem box

Players waste rounds searching the shelter for a kiosk because other Roblox games hide codes behind a physical pad. The CAT loop is pickpocket a keycard, break a toilet into the sewers without a card, dig tunnels, rare Angel cat jump-out, or wait for a group rescue. None of those props is a coupon machine. Caretaker tools — taser, Arrest Cat, police baton, shotgun, jail — do not open a redeem prompt either. After you escape, the feral city is for outdoor chaos, not for typing strings next to a Golden AK crate.

If a clone game named Cat Shelter does have a kiosk, you joined the wrong place. Come back to Getting Started and join through the official links place URL.

Troubleshooting a future Codes button

• No button at all. That is the September 2026 state. Stop searching menus. Play the match.
• Button visible, field rejects everything. You added a space, changed case, or pasted an expired / invented string. Compare against the live table and the expired list.
• Button visible only for one role. Some games gate codes behind the lobby before you pick Cat or Caretaker. Leave the shelter interior and try from the spawn menu.
• Button appears after an update, then vanishes. Store tags can ship and roll back. Check the updates hub and patch notes for what we can actually observe (server size, new passes), not for invented patch text.
• A Discord screenshot lists a code and no invite. We still do not publish a Discord invite because none is public. A screenshot is not a redeem UI.

After you redeem (if that day comes)

Rejoin the server if the reward is a tool or cosmetic that only attaches on spawn. Then go play: cats should run the escape checklist and How to Escape; caretakers should open Caretaker play. A code, even a real one, will not replace map knowledge. The guides hub is the actual progression path in a game with no battle pass and no redeemable crate.

Until a Codes button exists, the useful action is not a how-to — it is closing the fake list and loading place 76526090659517. This page will gain screenshots and a live button name when the client has one. It will not gain a pretend GIF of a menu we have not seen.
